Information we collect

Edit7 does not require an account and does not collect information such as your name, email address, contacts, location, or advertising identifier. The app does not contain advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.

Edit7 automatically collects the limited pseudonymous usage statistics described below.

Your media and recordings

Edit7 may request access to media you select, the microphone, speech recognition, and your photo library so that you can import videos, record audio, create transcripts and subtitles, and save finished videos.

Your projects, media, recordings, and transcripts are processed and stored on your device. The developer does not receive them. Some features use system services supplied by Apple, such as speech recognition, voice synthesis, and Apple Intelligence.

Usage statistics

Edit7 saves limited anonymous usage events to understand how its features are used and improve the product.

Analytics events do not include your advertising identifier, precise location, device type, operating-system version, language setting, media, recordings, transcript text, title text, project names, or filenames. Edit7 does not collect crash reports.

Sharing and selling data

Edit7 does not sell personal information or share analytics with third parties. It does not use a third-party analytics provider. Usage statistics are sent only to infrastructure operated by the developer and are used only to improve Edit7.

Data retention and deletion

Project data remains on your device until you delete the project or remove the app. Exported videos remain wherever you choose to save them, such as Photos or Files, until you delete them there.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Edit7 changes. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
